Phyllis Wheatley Community Center
To create pathways that help individuals discover their strengths and take control of their lives.
We envision a world where everyone has access to quality education, equitable opportunities, and the tools to reach their full potential.
Established in 1924 as a settlement house to serve a growing Black population, Phyllis Wheately Community Center has been dedicated to serving the North Minneapolis community for nearly a century with special consideration for the BIPOC population that has historically resided here.
As an organization, we are committed to building a society where diversity is celebrated, individuals are empowered, and every voice is heard.
What do we do?
