Our community-based early childhood education center provides comprehensive high-quality services to children ages 6 weeks to five years old. At Phyllis Wheatley, we believe every child deserves to have a head start, and we work to ensure that our scholars leave MTW with all the skills they will need in kindergarten and beyond, setting them up for life-long success.

Our curriculum fosters cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development. Our low staff-to-child ratio allows teachers to get to know each scholar and their families in order to be partners in the child's critical early childhood development.

Mary T. Wellcome enrollment is made accessible and affordable to the entire community through tuition, scholarships, and assistance from grant funds.
